Hey everyone..

Please join us for some much needed TLC at the Lakes on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, August 3... Meet at the Lake Redman Boat Launch parking area and we will head out from there. Please bring sturdy shoes, water, and work gloves. YAMBA has some snacks and the tools.

On Saturday July 12 - start time is 9am. We will do some much needed trimming and other general maintenance. There may be some trees down from the recent storms that we can clear also. YAMBA has two large trimmers. If you have a gas powered string trimmer or a gas powered hedge cutter and want to bring it...we can use the extra equipment to get extra trimming done.

On Sunday, August 3 - start time is 1pm. We will re-route a section of Trail 2 that was destroyed by an uprooted tree during the ice storm. We can use as much help as possible to get this completed in one day. We have the normal tools...just be sure you have gloves, water, and sturdy shoes.

Hope to see you at one or both of the trailwork sessions.

The YAMBA crew

Thanks to Mike Major, Jason Bloomfield, Markus Houser, David Martin, and Josh Geho for helping me yesterday with some trimming and tree removal at the Lakes. Trails 1 and 2C are completely trimmed. Large recently downed trees on Trails 5 and 2 were removed. Our next trailwork is August 3 where we will re-route a section of Trail 2.

Thanks to everyone who came out today to assist with our trail 2 re-route around a large downed tree. We were able to get the entire section of trail finished!!! We even had time to send a crew to clear a large tree from Trail 7 and to add a few extra logs to the "log loop" since it was close to where we were working. Thanks to Gung Ho Bikes´╗┐ for their assistance with volunteers and a donation of Clif Bars for our volunteers!

Check out the YAMBA Facebook page for some photos of the new trail!
