rode launch for 5 hours today with scott b. first off, DO NOT go there if there was rain the night before! the rocks were like ice. launch is like rocky ridge on steroids with no climbs of course. the trials are very technical with extremely tight lines and lots of drops and jumps. we ended up riding the beginner trail which was high speed with some small jumps. once it dried out enough we could tackle the rockier trails. Wallys Leg and Community Toilet Bowl were the most fun. trail 6 was insane! I don't even think a mt goat would attempt that. All in all, a fun trip and definitely worth a return.

Just found out about this place the other week. Is it at all rideable with a hardtail?

it depends. obviously you are not going to huck off any drops, but there are trails that could be ridden with a hardtail. I assume you want to take the lift up and ride down since riding uphill there is (thankfully) frowned upon and I'm pretty sure its not allowed. The two easiest trails Swirls and Cross Country are easily done on a hardtail. when i was there last weekend a guy was telling us that he rode it on a ht. just make sure you have plenty of protective stuff like full face and knee/elbow pads since falls tend to be head first into rocks. I will pretty much ride there most weekends so if you really want to go, pm me.
