Lakes 2C bridge?

Never mind. There is a pile of new lumber further up the trail. The parks are replacing the bridge. Please DO NOT ride over the 2x12s. They are not nailed down and are kind of weak to ride across. They are ok to walk across.

Why is the bridge being replaced? By who? Hopefully better than the one on trail 4, or the ones at RR bc that is some really shoddy work. Did it get wiped out durning Sandy? We just did that bridge about 4 years ago. The last I noticed about 3-4 months ago there was some erosion around the footers, but it didn't need to be replaced.

Lakes 2C bridge?

Not sure why but it is definitely being sanctioned by the parks. The new wood is the same brand as the wood on the other bridges that have been recently replaced. The entire bridge is torn out so they are clearly doing a full replacement.

I rode though there today and some scouts where there for an Eagle project. They said a horse fell off the old one and the new one will be eight feet wide.
