If an when this is cut out, would it be possible to cut a section to fit across the creek then flat top it as a ride on feature??

Fins, go ahead and cut it out. It has to come out b/c it blocks the trail and users are going WAY around it. Be careful flat topping it. Chainsaws don't like being run horizantally. Also make sure that the main trail path is clear wide enough for horses when placed across the creek, and so that water can still run under without backing up. THANKS

John let me know when you're going up and I'll come help so you don't have to work on that beast alone.

Scott

Let me know when you are available. kevin, the plan would be to put this upstream to preserve the existing stream crossing. Phase one will be to wrestle it into place and get it stable, then top it at a later time.
